Nancy Baldwin Carter founded the Nebraska Polio Survivors Association in 1984 as the first state-wide polio survivors organization of its kind.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Nebraska Polio Survivors Association is to educate the public and the health care community concerning polio and post-polio syndrome and to respond to the needs of individuals who suffer from the syndrome through group meetings, educational programming and newsletters, financial and other support of research concerning the syndrome and the circulation of research results.

Gleanings is the quarterly newsletter we publish and send to more than 800 polio survivors, friends and medical professionals throughout the United States and in Canada. The current and past issues of Gleanings can be found by clicking on the Newsletters link at the top of the page.
